Nehemiah's Night Time Ride

In 587 BC King Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians conquered the city of Jerusalem and carried many of its citizens away to Babylon. 70 years later, just as the prophet Jeremiah had prophesied, king Darius signed a decree allowing the Jews to return to their homeland. When Nehemiah heard the plight of his countrymen, he petitioned the king for permission to travel to Jerusalem to assist in rebuilding the city’s walls. In this study we will see that each of the ten city gates present a picture of the progressive growth of a follower of Jesus Christ. From the Sheep Gate to the Muster Gate, we will see that God’s process of sanctification is clearly shown in each Jerusalem’s gates.
