What We Believe

We believe in one God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Trinity, one God who exists in three Persons. He is infinite, invisible, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, unchanging, sovereign, and holy. He is eternal, without beginning or end. He is the source and sustainer of all things.
We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life. He was crucified as a substitutionary atonement for sin. He rose again on the third day. He ascended to the right hand of the Father where He reigns over all. He will visibly come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit. He indwells every Christian and convicts us of sin, helps us in our weakness, and empowers us to live faithful Christian lives. He equips us with spiritual gifts which bear fruit and enables us to glorify God in all we do.

We believe that mankind was originally created good but fell into a state of sin through disobedience. We inherit a sinful nature from Adam and we commit individual sins. This sin separates us from God and makes it impossible for us to earn salvation by works.
We believe that in His life, death, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus Christ accomplished salvation for sinners. In His life, He kept God’s law on our behalf. In His death, He suffered as our substitute and satisfied the divine wrath we deserved. He took our guilt upon Himself and credited His righteousness to our account. In His resurrection, we receive newness of life now and eternal life to come. In His ascension, He poured out the Holy Spirit on His church and He continually intercedes for us. This entire salvation is the free and gracious work of God alone.
We believe that one receives Jesus Christ’s merits by repenting of sin, believing in the good news of His death and resurrection, and confessing Him as Lord and Savior. As a sign of this salvation, every professing believer is to be baptized. We believe that the salvation experience consists of regeneration, justification, sanctification, and future glorification.
We believe that good works are the fruit (not the root) of every Christian's salvation, and that every Christian is called to be a witness to the Gospel.

We believe in the Bible—God’s Holy Word.

We believe in one worldwide people of God consisting of all the redeemed through every age and from every tribe, tongue and nation who possess true faith in Jesus Christ. In the Old Testament age, this faith was in God's promise to send a Messiah.
We believe that since the Day of Pentecost this worldwide body consists of local congregations of baptized believers. This local assembly is bound by the faith and fellowship of the gospel and observes the two ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper as given by Christ. We believe that the church is governed by Christ’s laws, exercises the gifts He gives through the Holy Spirit, serves one another in love, and seeks to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth.
We believe that each congregation is to be led by a pastor(s). We believe that both men and women are gifted for service in the church. The local church is responsible for discipleship, discipline, and administering the ordinances of Christ.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God. We believe that the Holy Spirit inspired the original writings of Scripture and that the original writings are without error.
We believe that although God in His fullness is beyond comprehension, He reveals in the Scriptures everything we need to know about Him, everything we need to know in order to be saved, and everything we need to know to live a godly life. We believe that the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith, truth, morality, and Christian living.
We believe the Bible teaches that God has made every person in His image and that life is sacred. We believe the Bible teaches that traditional marriage is between one male and one female and it is a lifelong covenant between the two. This is part of God's original creation design.
